Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This meme was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list complete with one of our bloggers’ answers. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND post a comment on our post with a link to your Top Ten Tuesday post to share with us and all those who are participating. If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. If you can't come up with ten, don't worry about it---post as many as you can!
So this is a new feature i'm doing and if you know me at all then you know I'm a girl that loves her lists!
This is so bad, i got this 2 Christmas' ago from my aunt, uncle and cousins and still haven't started it (they got me the 2 follow ons as well!)
3. Spy Glass
I love this author and this is the last in this trilogy and i'm almost a bit sad to have to see it end!
5. Lament
I was waiting for these covers to be released before I bought it and then I bought it and it's still on the TBR pile!
I intend to read this before the movie comes out. I bought it just as they started filming it and now they've filmed the whole movie and I still haven't even cracked the spine!
Another book I wanted to read before the movie was out. Didn't happen!
Oh this is shameful! I bought this when I stil worked at the bookshop because it had been reduced in the sale to £1 and I still haven't read it. I left the book shop 1 and half years ago!
10. The Intruders
I loved this author's run of sci fi books and saw this SIGNED in Hardback for only a few pounds! Heard it's really good but they are crime thrillers and think it's putting me off cause I just loved the Sci-fi books

First, I wish you had the US cover of The Replacement cover over there. It's one of my fave covers of 2010. However, I LOVE your Water For Elephants cover so much more than ours. The colors are fabulous (as is the book).
ReplyDeleteSecond, I have loved Maria Snyder for years, ever since her first book came out, and I have yet to read any book in the Glass series. Crazy, right? I keep meaning to, but I don't know why I haven't.
Third, please, please, please read the next Succubus book (which is called Succubus on Top over here)! I want to talk to somebody about it, and you know how much you love Richelle :) You're the one who got me to read her in the first place.
Ive read 6/10 Books and I actually picked up Lament at the Library today , so thats on my pile of books to issue LOL. Im a new follower

Water For Elephants is a brilliant book. I hope you enjoy it. I Am Number Four is outstanding too. Prophecy of the Sisters has been sitting on my book shelf for far too long!
ReplyDeleteI, too, am guilty of the trying-to-read-the-book-before-the-movie-comes-out syndrome. And probably every other TBR accumulating syndrome.
ReplyDeleteHere is my Top Ten: http://readerbuzz.blogspot.com/2011/03/top-ten-books-i-just-had-to-buybut-are.html
Oh, I love this post. I think if I created a list of my own, it would go on forever. I have so many books that I just HAD TO HAVE that are now collecting dust on my shelves :( Including Battle Royale. So excited to read that one .. but I think the size of it both surprised me and put me off. I will read it one of these days.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see a great reaction to this feature and SO GLAD that i'm not the only one out there that buys and intends to read books but has SO many that it takes a long time!
ReplyDeleteI loved Prophecy of the Sisters, I recommend you read.
ReplyDeleteI want to read Water for Elephants before the movie comes out also.

I haven't read any of these books, but we both share the fact that we haven't read Prophecy of the Sisters. I've heard good things, so hopefully we can read it soon. Thanks for visiting my list!
ReplyDeletehere's mine http://tributebooksmama.blogspot.com/2011/03/top-ten-tuesday.html
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! The only one I've read is Water for Elephants and I think once you start it you'll be hooked! Also as far as books you receive as Christmas gifts those should go to the top of the list so they'll buy you more! lol
ReplyDeletethanks for all the comments! Hopefully I will start making a dent in the TBR (to be read) pile
ReplyDeleteI've never read Anne Rice, even though I feel like I should.
